RETREATS
Wounded Healers Retreat
In our roles as faith leaders, we hold space for others' pain even as we carry our own—including pain incurred within faith communities. For many, past experiences within churches and religious communities have left deep, often unspoken wounds. This retreat offers a compassionate environment for leaders to process their own stories of faith—a space to pause, process, and name what they’ve experienced and what they’re holding as they seek to thoughtfully and safely companion others on a similar journey.
Through guided reflection, healing practices, and peer support, we’ll explore the complexities of faith and trauma. In a safe, non-judgmental space, we’ll inventory our own faith formation, naming the elements that have been deeply meaningful as well as those that have inflicted pain and caused harm. Together, we’ll imagine what a healthy and safe faith community can look like—one that contributes to the world’s flourishing—and we’ll develop the requisite skills to lead as wounded healers.

The Wounded Healers retreat offered me a space to step away from ministry and just be human for a while—human in my struggles, human in my grief, human in my sense of hopelessness. The process of looking at the things that have shaped me then looking to the future offered me a sense of hope that my struggles, grief, and hopelessness won't stay this strong forever. I returned home with hope that joy is within reach again.

I had a beautiful, healing experience at the Wounded Healers retreat. The setting, accommodations, activities, and facilitators were top notch. I was able to release some deeply rooted grief and thought patterns that were holding me back in my life. The gentle guidance and wisdom from the retreat leaders was life changing. Thank you!

This retreat is a MUST for anyone desiring to embrace their present and future more fully, especially when they're currently feeling stuck, like me! It was such a kind and gentle invitation to be present with myself and to simply be curious about what came up. There was no forcing or coercion, no stuffing or "putting on a good face." Just a sense of wonder and possibility in the company of others in the same place. It felt safe enough to look more deeply and then encouraging enough to embrace what I discovered. I'm so grateful.

We all have baggage we are carrying—even and especially people in ministry. This weekend was the perfect place to lay some of that baggage down and rest in the presence of the Spirit. I experienced healing moments along with forming relationships that will go on after leaving this space. The Healing Collective has done a wonderful job of creating a space where you can rest, release stress and hurt, and also utilize tools that will serve you well going forward. I highly recommend the Wounded Healers retreat.
